Something great just had happened to me today. You know why??? It was because I was not stuck up at home this day (yipee!). I had a day with my family -my dad, my mom and my first ever nephew, sean. For me it was something like an adventure (I don’t know what the right term for this is).
Anyway, when we left home at 9, we dropped by to a shop to have the tires checked before we’re heading to Lambayong (my lola’s residence [father]). So we get back to where I started. So, as I said, dropped by a shop, but since the area for parking is full, so my dad had no choice but to park the car to a nearby, in front of a store. The lady, owner of the store, was somewhat suspicious and keeps on checking -who the hell we might be parking in front of her store-. It was (I guess) 30 minutes that we parked in that area. Suddenly the lady owner posted a sign saying "Pls. No Parking in Front of the Store". My initial reaction was -Oh shoot! I think she’s stupid because this are is hers anymore, it’s a public property. I believe she was angry, no mad…really really mad at us. But my mom and I just stayed at the car as if we haven’t seen anything. Is it illegal to park in a public property?!?! If I was that lady, I would be much angry if a stranger’s car parked in front of her gate, right? I was rather mad also with that lady. We have the right ’cause it was not her property after all.
Maybe this suggests that each individual should undergo or study about political science. For the information of everybody, it’s about the basic rights and the basic law of the Philippine Republic especially it tackles a propos the difference of private property and public property. Basic Political Science is a very broad subject to be learned for. A semester of studying it wasn’t enough after all because there is so much to be erudite (take it from me).
So much for that dim-witted thing that had happened earlier.
Now, after that incident we headed to where we should be going. But then, we stopped at Marbel for a couple of minutes to check on something -the long lost ring of my father. It was (I believe) 3 years now since that ring lost. Here’s the story about it—
We were at my lola’s residence 3 years ago (I am not certain about the exact years it was lost, really!). My father and I checked on his plants (those little trees (?), I’m confused how am I to describe those plants). There were lots of unnecessary weeds and stuff around it so he took off his ring and put it in his pocket, to take away those weeds and stuff like that.
The ring which was supposed to be inside his pocket was lost. It was found out that it wasn’t lost at home (as my father would assume). My lola found it in a nearby area where my dad took away some of those unwanted plants. Thank God it was found.
It was almost noon when we arrived there. So we had take-out short orders because there are NO Seats available at that moment. We ate at the car while going to Lambayong. On our way, the scenario of the place is so amazing, though it’s agriculture area. But I was really flabbergasted of the nature. Everything is so green that it’s very relaxing to the eyes. But there’s one thing I was disrupted of –the road. It’s not good to travel on a rough road, right? It is distressing to travel on a rough, serrated road for half an hour. Omg!
Now, we’re there at the place. It feels like home. To see my lola after almost a year (maybe), my heart was very glad to see and feel her embrace after all. It’s an overwhelming feeling…and I also get the chance to be introduced (I mean it!); to my cousin (I believe we were cousins). I know him by name and face, but we were not introduced properly (don’t know how should I term that). My lola asked me if I know him, and I honestly said that I don’t know him. So we were introduced, and we -my two lolas, my dad, my mom, my cousin and I- were laughing at it. At least! Hmmm…
As for me, I think I might be going back to that place more often, in a few years because my father was looking forward to stay there after he has done working. I think it might be too soon…really soon…
How am I going to end this? Well, we were on our way back home when the weather is not so-so good because it’s raining puppies and kittens (hehe) and the sun is also up shining…They say, as old folks are, you would get sick if there’s a "sun-rain mixed weather (whatever you call that one is). It maybe true, I don’t know. But it’s very stunning to see two rainbows at a time. I was like a child who had a BIG smile and said wow to myself when I saw that eye-catching phenomenon, as I would say (haha!). It’s my own point of view, anyway…
Whew! I believe I did so much talking of how my day was. I guess the sun has, now, set, still, I had a dazzling, experience this day…
